At the International Festival hosted by IL Texas Katy-Westpark High School,
Korea and Korean language classes were promoted to not only students taking Korean language
classes, but also current students, faculty, and visiting parents.
¨¬ Event Date: Thursday, April 17, 2025
¨¬ Location: IL Texas Katy-Westpark High School
¨¬ Content: Students taking Korean classes wore Hanbok and had a chance to show off Hanbok to
their friends in front of the Korean booth as a volunteer activity and take pictures together.
They also had time to learn and experience Jegichagi, one of the traditional games.
The posters included Korean language (Korean alphabet introcution of consonants and vowels),
Korean companies (Hyundai, Kia, LG, Samsung, etc.), food ( Kimchi, Bibimbap),
clothing (Hanbok origami and exhibition), music (was played while Korean food
was served during the event, photos of K-pop stars). Through the Korean Fan Dance performance,
a meaningful cultural experience was created by sharing Korea's beautiful traditional culture.
